If you fail to do this
Then your life will itself
Appear to punish you
It is better that you
Mould yourself
In new seasons
And forget me.

When someone assures me of his love,
I remember you heartily,
When someone gives me hope
I remember you,
When it rains,
When sun is going to set
When loneliness pricks
I remember you,
When someone swears
To abide by his promise
Or live and die together
I remember you,
I would like to forget at all costs
The memories of the times spent together
But you and you alone
Remain in my thoughts
At all times,
I remember you.

If I tell you what I wish for
Hope you will not downgrade me
If you do not wish what I wish for
Hope you will not punish me severely
I do not believe in compulsion in love
Hope you will not forsake me
After the bytes of love,
If I disclose what I feel intensely
You will not make me an object of ridicule,
I am afraid ,if I disclose what I feel
In my heart of hearts
You will not make it a butt of laughter
If I disclose what I wish for
You won’t give me thorn for roses
And will not forsake me for ever.

Weather And Remembrance…

I faintly remember in the
Midst of cool breeze and
In the drizzle of downpour
Yes indeed this was the weather,
This was the night
When you parted company with me.
This weather would arouse some faint
Remembrance in you,
And your heart would
Over flow with
The thought when
You and me
Were one every moment
Unaware of any fear
Unmindful of every worry,
All around roses and flowers,
Quiet moonlit nights
I faintly remember
The same weather last year,
Same winds had
Set us apart,
Perhaps forsaking me
You were running after a mirage,
See this weather is again touching me,
Would it be not better
If you came along with these winds,
Because,
It’s when you happen
To come in the next season,
These winds might
take me far afar
from your reach,
then you will be left with nothing
but only sweet memories
which will arouse
my love in all seasons,
on all nights
and you will
weep for the season bygone.

Neither I hanker after the stars nor do I love flowers
My life is full of springs because of you alone.

A Dream…

At times I dread dreams
These dreams can give momentary happiness
But not extricate
One from the ocean of grief forever,
Such like rosy dreams
I see too
Some times I become a fairy and
Enter the home of fairies.
At times I become a butterfly and
Continue my journey
At times I become a flower
And adorn the garden,
At times I become moonlight
And become an object of people’s love
But soon after I wake up in fear,
That dreams in fact are nothing
But self deceits .

In my world of dreams and thoughts
You alone live unaware.
