The speed of data transmission through a wireless protocol will increase from 54 to 600 megabits per second.

Association of Wi-Fi Alliance and WiGig Alliance reported that it has signed a partnership agreement under which standard Wi-Fi WiGig will operate at 60 gigahertz, a data rate of up to 7 gigabits per second. This is several times faster than the latest version of the standard Wi-Fi 802.11n. It is assumed that the first device to support the new standard, operating at a frequency of 60 gigahertz, will be put on the market until the end of 2010, and in 2011 will model that also supports frequency Wi-Fi.

Recall that at the moment wireless protocol Wi-Fi operates at a frequency of 2.4 and 5 gigahertz. However, in September 2009 and was officially presented the final version standard 802.11n, maximum data transfer rate which reaches a mark of 600 megabits per second. For comparison – the 802.11g standard provides a maximum speed of 54 megabits per second.

Blackberry BOLD Review!

We have now entered the age of the smartphone. The Blackberry line is no longer designed specifically for business professionals but may also now be used by the average wireless consumer who is interested in having the full multi-media features of a Wi-Fi enabled phone. There are many other smartphones emerging on the market that are capturing the interest of the average consumer but the Blackberry remains the brand that is most capable of the advanced implementation of the features that wireless consumers are seeking today. For those people who have not yet jumped on the Blackberry bandwagon but who are beginning to see the benefits of investing in a smartphone, one of the best choices out there is the Blackberry Bold 9000. This phone has all of the best features that could be desired in a smartphone and yet remains one of the easiest-to-use phones on the market.

Blackberry Bold 9000 and the Blackberry Line

Before getting into the specifics about the Blackberry Bold 9000, you should take some time to gain an understanding of what the Blackberry line is all about. Despite the fact that these phones are so prevalent today, many people still believe that these are complicated smartphones designed only for use by the business professional. While the Blackberry brand is certainly capable of meeting all of the professional’s needs, it is no longer a phone designed solely for this purpose. Instead, the Blackberry lineup is now intended to offer the services that all wireless consumers are seeking from their one device.

People today are interested in being able to connect to the Internet from their phones in order to access mobile web content, send email, engage in mobile social networking and harness the power of emerging mobile applications. The new smartphones that are coming out are all designed to offer these features to the savvy consumer. What is great about the Blackberry brand is that it has been offering (and improving) these features for a long time so it is one of the best brands out there for consumers currently seeking to begin using these features. The Blackberry Bold 9000 is a terrific choice for new Blackberry users because it offers all of these features in a format that is really simple to learn to use. The Blackberry Bold 9000 is also suitable to long-time Blackberry fans because it brings all of the things that someone loves about the Blackberry line together with the emerging mobile trends to create a phone that really does it all for both professional and personal use.

Blackberry Bold 9000 Basics

The Blackberry Bold 9000 is designed to continue offering the professional features of the Blackberry line while also integrating the more personal-use features that are becoming popular with smartphones today. For example, the Blackberry Bold 9000 has an internal organizer which enhances the productivity of the professional’s life. However, it also has multimedia capabilities that allow the user to set up music playlists and watch videos on the Internet. This merging of professional and personal functions is the new trend in smartphones and the Blackberry Bold 9000 is a phone that completes this merging of trends successfully.
Why Blackberry Works For Everyone – Overview of Blackberry Bold 9000 Features

The power of the Blackberry Bold 9000 comes from the fact that it offers a diverse range of different features and is designed to meet the wireless phone needs of people from all walks of life. Whether you are a business professional, a busy work-from-home mom or a student who wants to stay in touch with your social life through your phone, the features of the Blackberry Bold 9000 will make your life simpler.
Why Blackberry For Email

One of the reasons that professionals have always loved the Blackberry is because it allows emails to be automatically pushed to the device. Set up your Blackberry account and use the services option in the account to forward emails to your phone. With the Blackberry Bold 9000, you can set up multiple email accounts so that both personal and professional email can be viewed on the device. All of the major email providers (Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc.) can be pushed directly to your phone so that you receive all of your email in one place – right in the palm of your hand. Email is now just as common as voice mail so this is a feature that is no longer just for professionals but is also important to the average consumer.

Why Blackberry for Internet

The Blackberry Bold 9000 is capable of full HTML browsing including RSS feed support and the ability to view movies and other media streaming from mobile-specific sites. The mobile web is becoming increasingly important to cell phone users. With the mobile web, you can engage in online social networking from your mobile phone, stay up-to-date with your IM chat buddies and check out information that’s useful when you’re on the go (such as movie showtimes in the area). The Blackberry Bold 9000 is a phone which is capable of fully accessing the mobile web so that you never have to wait until you get home to check your Facebook messages or to figure out where that movie was showing.

Why Wi-Fi Matters with Blackberry

What people really appreciate about the Internet features of the Blackberry Bold 9000 is that the phone is Wi-Fi-enabled. The reason that this is important is that it means the user can access the Internet from anywhere that there is a Wi-Fi connection to reduce charges on the phone. Instead of accessing the Internet via the cellular network, the phone will access the Internet via the Wi-Fi network which means that data charges aren’t being accrued. The phone can still access the Internet utilizing only the cellular network in areas where no Wi-Fi is available so the user is offered the function of getting Internet in places with only cell coverage while also getting the opportunity to keep phone costs low using the Wi-Fi system wherever it is available.

Why Blackberry for GPS

The Blackberry 9000 has an internal GPS with extended ephemeris. The Blackberry Maps system is a standard feature of the GPS. This system allows you to utilize the GPS function of the phone to identify specifically where you are and then to enter a destination point in order to receive turn-by-turn directions from the phone. This is useful for the professional who is trying to find a meeting in a new business travel destination as well as for personal use when running errands or meeting up with someone in a new place. Additionally, map-based mobile web programs are becoming increasingly popular. If you like the idea of receiving updated traffic information on your phone or tagging photos with their location, you’ll like the features of the Blackberry Bold 9000.

Why Blackberry for Taking Pictures

This phone comes with a 2 megapixel camera and includes flash. This isn’t the best camera phone out there but it’s adequate as a secondary camera to use when you don’t want to carry a stand-alone device. Additionally, the Blackberry Bold 9000 is capable of connecting to the Internet so that you can easily send those photos to family and friends or post them on your Facebook or Flickr accounts.

Why Blackberry as a Media Player

The Blackberry Bold 9000 is a fully-functional media player that is capable of organizing, storing and playing your audio and video files. This means that you won’t have to carry around a separate mp3 player to access your music library. It also means that you can use the phone to watch a variety of videos including those stored in your media library and those streaming from the mobile web.

The Blackberry Bold 9000 has full mp3 player capabilities as well as WMA and AAC+ playing capabilities. What is most important for this feature, though, is the fact that the Blackberry Bold 9000 is capable of advanced organization of audio media files. This allows the user to set up playlists and to easily transfer iTunes desktop information to the phone. People who already have an mp3 player but who don’t want to have to carry a number of separate devices will find that it’s simple to switch from one to the other and to use the phone as a multi-functional device with audio file features.

It is also increasingly important to people to be able to use the media player functions of their phones to watch videos. Whether it’s a funny clip that someone sends to you or a home video that you’ve stored in your media library, you can watch it using the video player functions of the Blackberry Bold 9000. This phone has a video player capable of viewing DivX, WMV, XviD, and 3gp videos.

Why Blackberry for Organization

One of the biggest reasons that people originally liked the Blackberry was because of the fact that these phones are great for professional-level organization. The Blackberry Bold 9000 can sync with the office suite in order to allow the user to access all of the files and information from the office from any location using the phone. The phone also has an internal organizer that makes it easy to keep track of appointments and deadlines.

These office features of the Blackberry Bold 9000 used to be specifically suited to the business individual. However, it is increasingly common for the average person to make use of these types of software programs on their home PC. If you’ve ever used Microsoft Money to track your spending or set up a calendar of your academic deadlines using Google Calendar, then you know how much easier life is when things are organized using computer programs. Since we have started to get used to this idea, it is a natural step for us all to benefit from the organizational features of the Blackberry Bold 9000 that were once the domain of the business professional.
Why The Blackberry handset

One of the best things about the Blackberry Bold 9000 is the fact that the handset is outstanding. The features of the Blackberry Bold 9000 are the reason that a consumer would be interested in purchasing the phone. However, all of the features in the world wouldn’t be appealing if the phone itself was unattractive. Luckily, that’s not the case with the Blackberry Bold 9000 which has a stylish design that is suitable to the professional’s life without being too boring. A 480×320 pixel resolution and the ability to display 65,000 colors help tomake the screen of the Blackberry Bold 9000 is specifically designed to attract the eye with color and clarity that go above and beyond what most people expect from their phones. The design of the handset perfectly compliments the style of both professionals and non-professionals. It is one of those designs that is edgy enough to be cool but not so edgy that it is unsuited to the professional environment. In addition to the stylish design, the handset is ideal because it offers extended battery life which makes it useful in all different types of settings. You can go through five hours of solid talk time or leave the phone in standby for nearly two weeks before this battery will need to be recharged. This makes travel (whether for business or pleasure) much more convenient and simplifies daily life as well.
Summary of Blackberry Bold 9000

For someone who is new to the Blackberry, the Blackberry Bold 9000 is a full-featured smartphone that is easy to use. For someone who is already familiar with the Blackberry, this phone takes the old features a step further and adds more personal use and mobile web functionality to the phone. This means that the Blackberry Bold 9000 truly stands out as a smartphone that could be as useful to the average consumer as to the professional business person with a love for high-tech gadgets.

If you don’t trust us or think that we may have been snuck some money to write a great review on this phone why not take a look at an independent review on the Blackberry Bold by Mobile Phones UK.

Polymere Vision developed the Readius pocket eReader that is also supposed to be available as a mobile phone. Roll-up or folding displays are going to be the next big thing for portable devices in the years to come. At some point in the future we will hopefully get to the point that we do not have to kill trees anymore for newspapers and magazines. For that to happen ePaper gadgets need to become as convinient to use as paper magazines are today.

The BlackBerry line of devices from Research in Motion has generally been offered in both GSM and CDMA flavors, but for some time now, CDMA lovers have left out in the cold from the love of the slim Pearl. That has now changed. The BlackBerry Pearl 8130 has officially been unveiled by RIM, sending the SureType-toutiing device into the hands of CDMA users.

The BlackBerry Pearl 8130 will rock high-speed Internet access via its EV-DO connectivity and they mention that this high-speedness will also include the possibility of streaming 3GPP videos onto the phone via YouTube Mobile and other similar sites. The other major signal grabber found within is “real GPS”, complete with BlackBerry Maps for driving directions and local searches.

Rounding out the features are music support, a full-size 3.5mm headphone jack, microSDHC expansion, a 2 megapixel camera, and improved noise cancellation on the microphone. Look for the Pearl 8130 to hit Sprint and Verizon, as well as either Telus or Bell, around November. The likely asking price is in the neighborhood of $200 with a new contract.

Just because you want the portability of a netbook does not mean that you need to sacrifice much in terms of capacity. It has now been revealed that the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook can be loaded with a 32GB solid state drive.

As you may recall, when the first batch Asus Eee PCs first flooded the market, you could not find one with more than 4GB of internal storage capacity by way of a solid state drive. As the netbook market matured, we started to see some units with 8GB or even 16GB solid state drives, as well as several that got loaded with conventional spinning platters for up to 120GB of hard drive space.

Seeing how most people will have a hard time surviving with just four gigs of on-board storage, it’s great to see that Dell is finally opening up the little subnotebook to larger storage options. There is still no officially way to get a conventional hard drive in there, but the bigger SSDs go a long way. And they’re pretty cheap to boot.

The base configuration of the Dell Mini 9 still sits at $349, but you can bump that 4GB SSD up to a 32-gigger for just $100 more. This means that a 32GB Mini 9 is just $449. That’s not the same capacity as a 120GB Eee PC 1000H, but you have to remember that this is a SSD and not a HDD.

If you want to save a little money, Dell is also offering the Dell Mini 9 with optional upgrades to an 8GB SSD or 16GB SSD for a $35 or $75 premium, respectively.
